fashion and lifestyle pairing: “S” is for shopping, snacking, and socializing!

We met up last Saturday night at the home of our friends Adrienne and Angelo, who were gracious enough to play host to an evening of shopping, snacking and socializing. Adrienne and our friend, Ashley Coleman, teamed up to organize a shopping experience that caters to women who would prefer to be spared the hustle and bustle of crowded malls and boutiques. Ashley pairs her years of high-end retail experience and her eye for style, to put together “shopping parties” for fashion-savvy women who appreciate the convenience of shopping a hand-picked selection of clothing and accessories. A staple at these parties is Stella and Dot, the jewelry line she reps as well as a mixture of trendy clothing designers….The best thing about the clothes and jewelry she carries—most items are under $100! We hope you enjoy checking out the sparkly jewels and the sassy clothes and accessories as much as we did!

XOXO-Shawna and Jennie

Above and Below: The “belle of the ball” was the “Pegasus” necklace from Stella and Dot. Talk about love at first sight! We think it pairs perfectly with this Sacai wrap cardigan.

Above and Below: The dress of the evening–black stretch tube-style dress with flesh-toned tulle skirt (available through AC Clothing) looks great on everybody!

Above and below: Trying on the Yetts Los Angeles deep V-neck, uneven hem, rouged shoulder dress (available through AC Clothing). We think the neckline is perfect for showing off extra special jewelry pieces like this rose gold and white gold, Dana Rebecca pendant necklace.

Above: Adrienne asked her friends, local design duo, Lindsey and Jessie of My Line to join in and show off their baby-soft collection of cotton tees, dresses and tanks. Below: Items from Lindsey and Jessie’s ultra-soft cotton collection.

Below: Also participating in this event was one of our favorite local handbag designers, Heather Belle. Her eco-friendly, made in the USA, candy-colored clutches rounded out the party roster.

Above: We love the way this Stella and Dot “Soiree Trio Ring” pairs with the electric blue Belleco clutch by Heather Belle!

fashion pairing: black tie elegance on a budget

With the Emmy’s coming up this Sunday, we thought it would be fun to challenge ourselves to create an elegant black tie look on a budget. This floor length, strapless, H&M dress was only $29.99! We paired it with a pair of Prada heels, but when it came down to choosing a bag, we couldn’t decide whether or not to go with the elegant, faux stingray clutch or the more playful, orange cross body bag (both from Heather Belle). We think it looks beautiful with either!  We would love to hear what you prefer!
